Making love and playing the piano are perhaps the two most pure, direct forms of self-expression. When I first began studying at conservatoire I was told that the spirit of a pianist’s performance in the bedroom may be inferred from their performance on stage; having completed studies at three of the most prestigious conservatoires in London and Paris, I am now qualified to confirm this.

My eyes are hazel (a genetically improbable blend of brown and green) and I have the body of someone who runs or does yoga almost daily. Many are confounded by my accent, but some immediately place its Antipodean origin; my early years were shared between a remote, idyllic farm situated in the down under and a vital Asian metropolis.

My mixed ethnic background gives me a unique, unplaceable appearance, which has inspired compliments which I am shy to repeat. Although… a close friend once said to me: 'You do realise your looks aren't the reason all these men keep falling for you!’ Which I took to imply that I must have something of a special personality.

Life is short, and getting shorter by the day. Is there really time to spend a moment not celebrating all that is beautiful and wild and free, not laughing over all that is absurd and delightful, not excavating the depths of each other’s souls and making impassioned love between perfumed sheets? Come, let’s go together and lay wreaths in the temple of Aphrodite! xx
